About the Studio

Precision learned at the keyboard, applied to systems

JESSICA PINKSTON PIANO STUDIO LLC began with a musician who fell in love with a different kind of composition — the architecture of computer systems. The name honors that origin; the work is pure engineering.

Origin

From recital hall to server room

Jessica Pinkston spent years teaching piano in American Fork, Utah, running a studio that grew from a spare room into a small business with real operational weight — scheduling, billing, family communication, recital logistics. The off-the-shelf tools available never quite fit, so she began building her own: small scripts at first, then integrated systems, then complete platforms.

That self-taught engineering practice revealed a conviction that became the company: the best systems are composed, not assembled. A good system, like a good score, has structure you can read, themes that recur deliberately, and nothing in it that does not earn its place.

Today, JESSICA PINKSTON PIANO STUDIO LLC operates as a computer integrated systems design consultancy, classed within the computer systems design and related services industry. The studio serves organizations across Utah and beyond, designing custom systems, integrating existing estates, automating workflows, and advising leadership on technology decisions that carry real consequences.

Values

Five commitments behind every engagement

Clarity before cleverness

A system the client understands beats a brilliant one they fear. We write plain-language documents, choose boring proven tools, and explain every trade-off in business terms.

Honest scope

We would rather propose a smaller project that solves the real problem than a large one that merely looks impressive. When doing nothing is the right answer, we say so.

Ownership transfer

Success means your team can run, extend, and eventually replace what we built — without us. Documentation and handover are deliverables, not afterthoughts.

Data stewardship

We collect the minimum, protect it seriously, and design privacy into systems from the first diagram. Our own website practices what we preach.

Craft over speed

Rehearsal beats improvisation. Short cycles, constant validation, and no big-bang reveals — disciplined practice is how reliable systems get made.

Local roots, wide reach

Based in American Fork, Utah, we serve our home state first and clients nationwide. Being reachable — by phone, by email, in person — is part of the service.

How We Work

What a partnership with the studio looks like

Engagements are structured, transparent, and sized to the problem. Here is what to expect from the first email onward.

  1. A free, honest first conversation

Thirty to sixty minutes about your situation. You leave with a clearer picture of the problem whether or not we work together — and usually a few things you can fix yourself immediately.

  2. A fixed-scope discovery phase

A short, fixed-fee audit produces a written findings report and a phased proposal with real cost ranges. You own the report outright and can take it to any vendor.

  3. Delivery in visible cycles

Working demonstrations every two weeks, written progress notes, and a shared decision log. You always know what is done, what is next, and what changed and why.

  4. Handover and ongoing care

Complete documentation, recorded walkthroughs, and a stabilization period are included in every build. Optional advisory retainers keep senior help on call afterward.

Meet the studio

The first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Bring your messiest systems problem — those are our favorites.
